What may be bringing you here

Why individuals meet with us.

These problems rarely stay in their own lanes. Anxiety feeds drinking. Old trauma feeds anger. A substance that started as a way to cope becomes the problem itself.

If your private summary is “I can't stop” or “something has to change,” that's enough reason to book a session. You don't need a diagnosis.

  • Substance Use

Drinking or using drugs after deciding to stop.

  • Gambling

When the problem lives in your pocket, it follows you everywhere.

  • Compulsive Habits

Gaming, scrolling, or other habits that take up too much of your life.

  • Anxiety

Feeling on edge all the time, waiting for something to go wrong.

  • Depression

Hopeless, numb, or disconnected from the life you built.

  • Trauma

Carrying something painful that's hard to talk about.

If you’re skeptical of therapy

Skepticism doesn't disqualify you.

Maybe you've never done this before and don't know what you're supposed to say. Maybe you tried therapy once and left feeling analyzed instead of helped. Maybe someone is pushing you to go and you're only half convinced.

Sessions here are direct, collaborative, and useful. No lectures, no therapy language that doesn't fit. If you disagree with something, say so. It won't offend us, and it helps shape the work.

What the work focuses on

Therapy that aims at change you can see in your week.

Recovery isn't about willpower. It's about learning what's actually in your control and building the discipline to act on it.

We won't promise a cure, because no honest therapist can. You can expect an evidence-based process, clear communication, and treatment shaped around the goals you set.

  • Understanding what drives a behaviour

Catching patterns before they take over

  • Recovery on your terms

Cutting back or stopping completely, whichever fits

  • Steadier emotional regulation

    Managing anxiety, anger, and urges

  • Working through trauma

At your pace, at your depth

  • Clarity

    On relationships, identity, and values

  • Direction

    For wherever you’re going

FAQ

Common questions.

Ask us a question
What if I've tried therapy before and it didn't help?

Fit and method matter enormously. Tell us what didn't work last time. That becomes part of how we plan differently this time.

Do I have to quit drinking or using before I start?

No. Start exactly where you are. Sorting out your relationship with a substance is part of the work itself.

Do I have to talk about my trauma?

No. Approaches like EMDR can process difficult experiences without a blow-by-blow retelling. You set the pace.

What if I need more than weekly therapy?

Then we'll tell you directly and help you look at more intensive options. A referral to a higher level of care is a treatment decision made with you, not a failure.
